A very cold semi-final
Hi All,
I have a short update of my results in World Cup 3 in Budapest. Some good news to start with, I have qualified for the final on Saturday!
It was very windy and cold all the way through the competition (only about 12 degrees Celsius). Once again there were 3 heats (A,B, and C) and only the top 12 made it through in each group. I was in the B group and came 3rd in the heat, so I’m really pleased with my performance so far.
The international modern pentathlon organisation mentioned my result in their article on the semi-final:
“After coming from nowhere to finish 5th in World Cup #1 and 3rd in World Cup #2 to top the World Cup Series standings, all eyes were on Chloe Esposito (AUS) to see how she would react with her rapid rise to fame. She did not disappoint, with a cool, calm and collected display from the young Australian ensuring she is on track to again stand on the podium on Saturday.”
I’ve also been getting some exposure in the press which is exciting, for example:
Chloe jumps to world lead Daily telegraph 7 April 2012
Chloe to shoot for London The Liverpool Champion 28 March 2012
If you’d like to see more examples of my journey in the media there is a full list of articles in the media section of my website.
Anyway, the final for Budapest World Cup #3 is on Saturday so don’t forget to keep your fingers (and toes) crossed and wish me luck!
That’s all for now.
- Chloe
